SKILLET BERRY COBBLER
Here I am gonna introduce a famous recipe that almost even known by people in other country like China and India. Before talking about it, I want all of you to know the situation that I am placed in. I truly love the skillet berry cobbler that my grandma made for me when childhood. And now, I try to do it for my child to deliver this kind of bond. Within saliva, I wrote this article to introduce you the cobbler. It is so delicious that you can not live without it if you have a try. No one can refuse to have a hot colorful fruit cobbler and the air is full of sweet smells when it just come out from oven. Oh god, I can not keep staying before my laptop without eating a delicious berry cobbler. In hot summer holiday, if you can eat a piece of cobbler and sip a wine or café. I believe nothing can be more attractive than it. The sweet berry and the cooling ice-cream is calling me, after finishing the work, I will make myself a cobbler and swallow them all by myself in 30 seconds! Let’s do it now!
First of all , my cast iron skillet pizza recipes need some material and they has been listed follow:
- 4 cups your choice of fresh berries (I used blackberries & raspberries)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
Not so hard to collect them all，huh？I get them all from the supermarket nearby. And if you want better tasty cobbler, you better to pick and choose the berry from nature by yourself.
Nobody is born to be a chief, so if you want to cook a successful cobbler instead of waste all of your ingredients and make your oven as a hell, you should follow these instruction and remember every detail of it.
And I promise that if you follow my steps, your cast iron skillet will pay you a good dinner as reward.
Here we go:
1.Preheat oven to 375°F
2.In a 10 inch cast iron skillet, toss together berries, sugar, 1/2 cup flour, cornstarch and salt. Smooth berry into an even layer.
3.In a stand mixer with paddle attachment, add the 1 cup flour, oats, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Add the butter and mix until texture is coarse clumps and mixture will hold together in clumps when you squeeze it with your hand.
4.Spread topping evenly on top of berry mixture with your hand and press it down lightly.
5.Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the edges are bubbling and the top is golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!
I hope you can remember the temperature and the time to pull it out from the oven, the size of cast iron skillet and the mixer of ingredients. Those are the most important factors in kitchen.

All my cast iron skillet berry cobbler has been introduced circumstantially. Now you can cook it after working, then eat half of then as supper while watching a movie, and put rest of them in refrigerator for a night.
